Day 1: Arrival, Stroll and Dinner
SATURDAY, JUNE 21
Welcome to Scotland! Now that you have arrived and settled into your room, we take care of the rest.
We gather for a welcoming dram of whisky, meeting our fellow travelers, and take a stroll showing the square for morning yoga, nearby pubs, and settle in for the group dinner.

Day 2: Exploring Edinburgh
SUNDAY, JUNE 22
The early morning is dedicated to a yoga stretch in St. Andrews Square to start the day, followed by a light breakfast.
Today we explore Edinburgh with a guided tour which takes us throughout the entire city, from a visit to the Royal Palace of Holyroodhouse to the Edinburgh Castle, along with a fun-filled stroll down the historic spine of the Old Town with many diversions to take in altogether breathtaking sights that all but the most savvy traveler would miss. This includes a robust lunch as well. After the tour we’re on our own for dinner, but the evening hasn’t finished as we’re scheduled for a flight of whiskies at the Whisky Experience.

Day 3: Hikes, Drams and Shops
MONDAY, JUNE 23
Early morning yoga in St. Andrews Square and light breakfast to start the day.
Prepare yourself today for a hike to the top of Arthur’s Seat taking in 360 degree breathtaking views of the city and coastline. We descend and find ourselves at the base of the city, and open up your afternoon to self-explore for the day. We’ll have a list of shops, museums, activities, pubs and lunch recommendations.
There is a late afternoon option and self pay whisky tasting reserved at a pub in the city.
The evening is dedicated to a happy hour and group dinner.

Day 4: Travel to the Highlands
TUESDAY, JUNE 24
Early morning Yoga stretch in St. Andrews Square to start the day.
Today is a travel day as we board our comfy coach. We’re headed, my friends, to the Highlands.
The first stop is in St. Andrews to view the first hole, a tour of the town, and lunch at famous The Tail End for the best fish & chips you’ll ever have.
Then, off to the Dunnottor castle teetering on the cliff’s edge to explore, and finally resting our heads in the Speyside, the heart of whisky country.
An optional walking tour of the town of Aberlour, followed by a happy hour, and dinner to finish the day.

Day 5: The Heart of Whisky
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25
Early morning yoga along the River of Spey.
Begin the day at a cooperage learning the secrets of the whisky barrel, visit some of the famous distilleries in the area, and settle into
Once in Speyside, we discover where two-thirds of Scotland’s whisky is distilled. We tour the greatest distilleries and discover the unknown, including Macallan, Glenlivet and Aberlour.
You’ll have the chance to taste whisky dating back to your birth year, visit a cooperage learning the secrets of the whisky barrel, and travel to towns off-the-beaten path you won’t find on any other travel guide.

Day 6: The River Spey + More Distilleries
THURSDAY, JUNE 26
Early morning yoga along the River of Spey followed by breakfast at Aberlour Hotel.
We continue our distillery tours, and visit the beautiful grounds of Glenfiddich.
Walk along the River Spey, skipping rocks at the Old Craigellechie Bridge, to the Highlander Inn where Jimmy will work his magic. educating us about curated flights of whisky.
We will finish the evening with drinks at Quaich Bar and a group dinner at Spey Inn.

Day 7: Inverness, Loch Ness and Glencoe
FRIDAY, JUNE 27
Big travel day as we depart the quaint town of Aberlour and make our way to Inverness for lunch, drive along the shore of Loch Ness, and to the hauntingly beautiful Glencoe valley.
We finish the day with our arrival at Oban, the Oban distillery for tasting and dinner pairing.

Day 8: Oban, Edinburgh and Final Goodbyes
SATURDAY, JUNE 28
Morning yoga and breakfast in Oban.
We will make our way back to Edinburgh today, making a few historical stops along the way, including 12th century Stirling Castle.
Our last night in Edinburgh will finish with a final group dinner, stories, memories that will last a lifetime!

Day 9: Goodbye!

About Kim
Kim Dastrup has been a prominent yoga instructor in Salt Lake City since 2003. She teaches a style of yoga true to the tradition and spirit of an ancient and sacred practice. Her classes are suffused with intelligence, creativity, and compassion derived from her years of teaching and extensive training with some of the greatest teachers across the country. Kim leads yoga retreats all over the world, including Tuscany, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Thailand, and the Utah desert.

Jim Santangelo is the Owner and Educator at the Wine Academy of Utah, and has had the opportunity to study whisky and guide folks throughout Scotland for the last 10 years. He is a professional wine and spirits educator certifying people in the Wine and Spirits Education Trust discipline, an internationally recognized certificate in the field. You can find Jim and his Wine Specialists hosting beverage tastings and In-Home Wine Events throughout the Salt Lake Valley, and catch Jim every Friday morning at 8am on the radio with his own feature called, “Have Another Drink with Jimmy” on X96’s Radio From Hell show.
